Safety and food safety are the top priority in our ports and industry sector. All our employees are in possession of the SCC and take part in our courses and toolboxes.
As an employer we invest in a safe working environment, while we also teach employees to bear their own responsibility. Then employees are used to addressing each other about unsafe behaviour. Together we ensure a safe working climate.
Employees of Twint are visible during the work. All our employees wear special reflective clothing that is also fire- and chemical-resistant.
Our employees wear a red safety helmet. We require all our employees to wear head protection because an accident is always waiting to happen.
Safety shoes are also a must. All Twint employees therefore wear safety shoes of the required quality standard. Employees carrying out industrial cleaning work wear HDS safety boots. The safety footwear has steel tips and soles that protect the feet from protruding or falling parts.
Our employees must wear gloves when carrying out specific activities. The type of glove depends on the type of work. We make sure that employees are provided with the right gloves.
Our employees are required to wear their safety glasses during their work. Safety glasses are usually worn together with a safety helmet. Employees sometimes only wear safety glasses depending on the activities. When carrying out industrial cleaning work our employees must also wear a face mask. We make all eye protection equipment available to our employees.
Is the noise in the working environment louder than 80 dB? Then our employees must wear their ear protection. We make the ear protection equipment available to our employees.
Jewellery can be a danger to the safety of employees. This is why wearing jewellery at Twint is not allowed. All employees take their jewellery off before starting work.
When employees work at height or in a deep silo, they use our fall protection and hoisting material. Our fall protection equipment and hoists are inspected and comply with all safety requirements and standards.
